"Carol has a passion for caring for newborns and sharing her knowledge with new parents"
Since 2004 I have worked as a Newborn Care Specialist working with families who have singletons, twins and one family with triplets.
A little about my background. I began working with infants when I was in high school. During my college years, after my sister gave birth, I helped out with the newborn care both day and night.
Upon realizing how much I enjoyed working with babies and children, I attended nanny school. Since 1987, when I graduated from the C.A.P.E. center in the Dallas,Texas, I have been a Certified Professional Nanny.
After many years as a Professional Nanny I really missed being around babies so I moved my goals to help, support and educate new parents of singletons, twins and triplets who are seeking a good night's rest by using my years of experience and training. I also work on continuing my education through classes to help keep myself current on infant care .
I have attended the Alexandria School for Newborn Care Specialist baby basics and received I certificate of completion. The course consisted of: In Utero Development, Birth, Hospital Procedures, Newborn Appearance, Anatomy and Physiology of the Newborn, Jaundice, Elimination, Sick Baby, Health & Wellness, Immunizations, SUID/SIDS, Sleep/Sleep Training, Breastfeeding, Formula Feeding, Bathing and Dressing, Crying, Calming Methods, Swaddling, Colic, Reflux, Schedules, Equipment, Nursery Set-Up, Role of a Newborn Care Specialist.
I also has attended continuing education, nanny, night nanny and Newborn Care Specialist and Advanced Newborn Care Specialist courses over the years to continue to excel in my professional career. I am a member of INA and of the D.F.W. nanny support group.
